Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of TimeBook, through the TimeBook mobile app and the website timebook.lk. By creating an account or using TimeBook you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use TimeBook.

1. What TimeBook does

TimeBook lets you save towards goals in small daily amounts, hand cash to TimeBook collectors and merchants who record it to your account, deposit by bank transfer, and withdraw your savings. Collectors and merchants are approved by TimeBook and use TimeBook to record the cash they collect.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and give accurate details, including a mobile number you control.
  • One person, one account. Do not use someone else's account or let others use yours.
  • Keep your password and app lock PIN secret, and only approve sign-ins on devices you recognise. You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us it has been misused.
  • Tell us straight away at support@timebook.lk if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Deposits, collections and withdrawals

  • Only hand cash to a collector or merchant inside the TimeBook app, and check the amount recorded before you confirm a request. Accept only requests you recognise.
  • Bank deposits are added to your balance after we check the deposit slip you upload.
  • Withdrawals are paid to the bank account you add, after review. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
  • Any fees or commissions are shown in the app before you confirm. By confirming, you agree to them.
  • We may refuse, hold or reverse a transaction that looks wrong, fraudulent or against these terms, and we may correct mistakes in your balance.

4. Collectors and merchants

If you are approved as a collector or merchant, you must record every amount you collect accurately and straight away, pay collected cash to TimeBook on time as shown in the app, stay within your collection limit, and treat customers' personal information as confidential. We may suspend or end your collector or merchant access if you break these rules.

5. Things you must not do

  • Use TimeBook for anything illegal, including fraud or money laundering.
  • Give false information or upload fake or altered documents or deposit slips.
  • Try to access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with how TimeBook works.
  • Copy, change or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

6. Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we suspect fraud, or if the law requires it. You can close your account yourself at any time once your balance is zero and nothing is pending: in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or at timebook.lk/auth/delete-account. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep TimeBook running and your records accurate, but TimeBook may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or network problems. As far as the law allows, TimeBook is not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by you sharing your password or PIN, approving a sign-in or request you did not check, or handing cash to someone outside the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Sri Lankan law that cannot be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by SMS or email when the changes are important. If you keep using TimeBook after a change, the new terms apply.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka decide any dispute about them.
